Shawn, one of our founders, has been with Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware since 1990. In the last 30 years, Shawn has been on site in more than 500 Hos­pi­tals. He has eval­u­at­ed work­flow and imple­ment­ed changes with some of the largest hos­pi­tal envi­ron­men­tal ser­vices depart­ments in the world. His areas of oper­a­tional exper­tise include Staffing and Eval­u­at­ing the EVS Depart­ment, Qual­i­ty Assur­ance Tech­niques, Bed Turnover Man­age­ment, Train­ing for Employ­ees and Man­agers, Cre­at­ing and Imple­ment­ing Employ­ee Work Assign­ments, and Soft­ware Devel­op­ment.

Shawn believes Smart Facil­i­ty Software’s tech­nol­o­gy is essen­tial to effi­cien­cy in acute care hos­pi­tal EVS depart­ments, result­ing in HAI reduc­tion, HCAHPS improve­ment, and max­i­mum oper­a­tional effi­cien­cy.

As the CIO / CTO of Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware, Mark is at the cen­ter of turn­ing inno­v­a­tive ideas into real­i­ty. He joined SFS in 1997 after serv­ing as the VP of Devel­op­ment at Tele­Track­ing Tech­nolo­gies for 5 years. Mark has a Mas­ters in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing and The­o­ret­i­cal Math­e­mat­ics. He is respon­si­ble for all Infor­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy and Research and Devel­op­ment at Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware, as well as our Sup­port teams and web devel­op­ers.

Mark has brought a num­ber of suc­cess­ful soft­ware prod­ucts to the health­care oper­a­tions mar­ket, 13 of which are offered by Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware.

Chris has over 25 years of expe­ri­ence in busi­ness devel­op­ment, bud­get­ing, plan­ning and imple­ment­ing state-of-the-art custodial/environmental ser­vices pro­grams. For 11 years he served as the assis­tant direc­tor of EVS at Flori­da Hos­pi­tal Memo­r­i­al Med­ical Cen­ter and Flori­da Hos­pi­tal Ocean­side.

At Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware, Chris uses his more than a decade of EVS expe­ri­ence to work with med­ical and edu­ca­tion­al facil­i­ty man­agers to imple­ment both man­age­ment and soft­ware pro­grams that increase pro­duc­tiv­i­ty and account­abil­i­ty.

Jodie is a Colum­bia MBA with a 19-year career in adver­tis­ing and mar­ket­ing that start­ed with Ogilvy & Math­er in New York. With six years in health­care-focused mar­ket­ing, she brings a spe­cial under­stand­ing to our clients’ dai­ly chal­lenges.

Work­ing with Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware since 2008, Jodie helps hos­pi­tals in their research, vet­ting and selec­tion of envi­ron­men­tal ser­vices and infec­tion pre­ven­tion soft­ware.

David Pruitt joined Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware in 2016 after two years work­ing with HHS in EVS Direc­tor and Assis­tant EVS Direc­tor roles. He was assigned to Atlanta Med­ical Cen­ter-South and Col­i­se­um North­side Hos­pi­tal.

As the Direc­tor of Oper­a­tions, David project man­ages the deliv­ery of our EVS con­sult­ing ser­vices and coor­di­nates on-site work.

Scott has been in health­care for 40 years. His exten­sive expe­ri­ence includes work­ing with Ser­vice Mas­ter, Ara­mark and the Read­ing Hos­pi­tal, where he man­aged diverse sup­port ser­vices depart­ments. The major­i­ty of Scott’s expe­ri­ence has been in envi­ron­men­tal ser­vices man­age­ment, with some time spent man­ag­ing a patient trans­porta­tion and call cen­ter.

Scott has spent the last six years of his health­care facil­i­ties career at Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware, where he pro­vides soft­ware sup­port and train­ing to clients. He also assists clients with space inven­to­ries, task and fre­quen­cy stud­ies, soft­ware train­ing and sup­port, and staffing analy­ses to sup­port effec­tive envi­ron­men­tal ser­vices man­age­ment.

John­son joined the Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware team in 2019 and pro­vides data-load­ing and EVS con­sult­ing ser­vices. He has more than 10 years of health­care and house­keep­ing expe­ri­ence in the hos­pi­tal envi­ron­ment. He worked as the Assis­tant Direc­tor of Envi­ron­men­tal Ser­vices at the Mayo Clin­ic in Jack­sonville, Flori­da.

Also, he feels for­tu­nate to have been under the lead­er­ship of our very own Christo­pher Luci­er at Flori­da Hos­pi­tal.

Bernie joined Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware in 2015 with near­ly 35 years of infor­ma­tion man­age­ment expe­ri­ence. With lead­er­ship posi­tions in Infor­ma­tion Sys­tems at both large and small com­pa­nies (such as Dell, CEVA Logis­tics, Fies­ta Gas Grills and Matthew walk­er Health Cen­ter), he brings a real-world under­stand­ing to how data affects process­es.

That’s why he is our most pro­lif­ic data load­ing spe­cial­ist, hav­ing record­ed near­ly 170 mil­lion square feet of hos­pi­tal space. Bernie’s accu­rate facil­i­ty infor­ma­tion is at the core of pro­duc­ing real­is­tic and track­able expec­ta­tions for your depart­ment.

As a ded­i­cat­ed and detail-ori­ent­ed account­ing pro­fes­sion­al, Crys­tal has been meet­ing our account­ing needs for over 15 years. She joined the Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware team in Jan­u­ary 2005, pro­vid­ing a vari­ety of ser­vices in the finance depart­ment.

Pri­or to com­ing to Smart Facil­i­ty Soft­ware, Crys­tal spent many years as a self-employed book­keep­er and accoun­tant, pro­vid­ing a wide range of book­keep­ing ser­vices to small busi­ness­es. With over 30 years in the book­keep­ing indus­try, she pro­vides seam­less ser­vice in our finance oper­a­tions.
